My project is focused on harnessing an LLM’s capabilities to offer human-readable, contextualized and personalized hints in tutoring systems. You can read our evaluation of using GPT-4 for generating contextualized hints in our paper (Reddig et al., 2025).
VAL explanations handle student questions and target the next step in the HTN.
